At The Willows Dental Group, we believe exceptional dental care begins long before you enter the practice. Our patient journey has been carefully designed to ensure every stage of your experience is welcoming, comfortable and tailored to your individual needs.
Your Journey Begins With Your First Phone Call
Your experience starts with your very first call to our reception team. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will take the time to understand what you are looking for from your dentist. Whether you require specialised gum health care, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry or simply wish to maintain excellent oral health, our team will guide you through the options available.
Based on your needs and preferences, we will match you with the dentist best suited to provide your care. Once a convenient appointment has been arranged, we will request a small deposit to secure your booking.

Your Personalised Treatment Plan
Once your examination has concluded, you will be invited to speak with our reception team or one of our treatment coordinators in a private and comfortable setting. Here we will discuss your personalised treatment plan, outline any recommended treatments and help you arrange future appointments at times convenient for you.

Arriving at the Practice
On the day of your appointment, you will be warmly welcomed into the practice by our reception team. Your dentist will personally greet you and introduce themselves before guiding you through your consultation.
Your Initial Consultation
Your first appointment is designed to be comprehensive and informative. During your consultation, your dentist will carry out a thorough examination to gain a complete understanding of your oral health. This examination may include:
Assessment of the jaw joints
Examination of the soft tissues of the mouth
Gum health assessment and screening for gum disease
Oral cancer screening
Caries (tooth decay) detection
Examination for cracks and fractures in the teeth
Assessment of tooth wear
Evaluation of your oral hygiene
Extra-oral examination, including the face and neck
During this appointment, we may also recommend dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning. These are charged additionally; however, this will always be discussed with you during your appointment before any images are taken.
Discussing Your Dental Goals
Your consultation also provides the opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have about your dental health, as well as any treatments you may be considering for the future. This may include teeth alignment, cosmetic improvements, dental implants or other advanced treatments. Our team is here to listen and ensure your care plan reflects your goals as well as your clinical needs.
